James Davis

James Davis is an experienced journalist whose work covering English football goes back to the 1990s. He has reported on a freelance basis for a number of UK national newspapers, including The Daily Telegraph, the Sun and the Manchester Evening News. James is an avid football fan and a season ticket holder at Manchester United, watching English Premier League and European matches on a regular basis. He also has a ‘soft-spot’ in two other North-West clubs, Bolton Wanderers and Oldham Athletic. While club football is James’ main passion, he also has reported on international competition and predicts a special tournament at Euro 2016 next summer. He cites rugby (a big interest in Ireland), tennis, motorsport (including the world famous Isle of Man TT!) and golf as his other favourite sports. James even visited Gleneagles last year to see the Ryder Cup contest.
